This free, informal networking and panel session event will take place at IdeasTap headquarters and is devoted to discussing the photography industry from a female perspective, presented by and about women in photography.
The evening will be jam-packed and will feature three talks from industry experts, what should prove to be a very interesting debate: “Photojournalism: Does the Old Boys Club still exist and do we still experience everyday sexism?” plus time for everyone to chat, discuss and connect over complimentary drinks and nibbles.
Alongside the ‘Close Up: Women In Photo’ event, our partners Metro Imaging are also offering a 12-month mentorship programme to one female photographer who has a unique body of work, strong potential and a hunger to succeed in the industry. Metro has a long-standing mentorship programme with various organisations, universities and colleges offering those starting out in the industry invaluable information, expertise, and guidance.
Entrants to the mentorship opportunity must be female, aged 16+ and be IdeasTap members.
Brief closes Friday 3 October 2014 at 5pm BST.
