As the photo diaries fill up for May we highlight some of the works and artists not to be missed amongst this years fairs and exhibitions across the capital.
One of the most anticipated exhibitions to launch will be ‘My London‘ at Peckham 24 which will include new work by photographic artists and past OGC speaker, Dafna Talmor.
“By disrupting composition and distorting perspective, these landscapes point to the constructed nature of the photographic image and, beyond the frame, to a more complex version of reality.” – Dafna on her work commissioned for the FT Weekend’s ‘My London’.
The dynamic group is show curated by Emma Bowkett, FT Weekend Magazine Director of Photography, as part of Peckham 24 and will be shown at the Copeland Gallery in Peckham. Participating artist include Campbell Addy, Jonny Briggs, Antony Cairns, Juno Calypso, Chrystel Lebas, Tom Lovelace, Hannah Starkey, Dafna Talmor and Lorenzo Vitturi.
Since Photo London launched in 2015, FT Weekend Magazine has published an international photography supplement to coincide with the fair. One of its highlights is the specially commissioned portfolios of new work on London by photographers based in the capital. My London brings together a selection of these works as a celebration of the city and the creative vision of the artists living there.
